The FC Lusitanos is an Andorran football club . Because of its main sponsor, the construction company Construccions La Posa SL , the association is officially called Construccions La Posa FC Lusitanos . It was founded by Portuguese immigrants, who make up around six percent of Andorra's population.

history

Lusitanos is one of the younger representatives in Andorran club football and took part in matches for the first time in 1999/2000. Immediately succeeded in the championship title in the Segona Divisió and thus the promotion to the Primera Divisió .

There you had to compete in the relegation games at the end of the season, but with four wins and two draws they managed to defend against relegation. Also in the next few years you had to compete in the relegation playoffs, but the relegation could be averted.

In the 2001/02 season, FC Lusitanos celebrated the greatest success in the club's history when they won the Copa Constitució with a 2-0 win against Inter Club d'Escaldes . In 2005/06, the club managed to take part in the championship playoffs for the first time as fourth in the table at the end of the regular season, but were already too far behind to have any chances for the title. In 2011/12 the club was able to win the first championship in the club's history, which it was able to defend the following year.
