Fabrice Alleman

Fabrice Alleman (born April 30, 1967 in Mons ) is a Belgian jazz musician ( saxophone , also clarinet, flute).

Live and act

Alleman began his music career in 1990 after completing his jazz training at the Brussels Conservatory. In the same year he began postgraduate studies at the Manhattan School of Music in New Yord, where he won first prize in the saxophone class in 1992. He subsequently worked in various genres, including as accompanist for Salvatore Adamo and with the Calvin Owens Blues Orchestra. In the field of jazz he worked with Richard Rousselet, Michel Herr , Steve Houben , Jean Warland , Bruno Castellucci and was one of the all-stars of Jean-Pierre Gebler.

In 1996 Alleman recorded his first album as a duo with guitarist Paolo Loveri. In 1997 he performed with Terence Blanchard in Luxembourg. He presented himself with his own quartet, consisting of Michel Herr, Jean-Louis Rassinfosse and Frédéric Jacque at the Jazz Festival de Liège and as a guest of Kenny Werner at the Gaume Jazz Festival. With his appearance at the Jazz Festival de Liège, he won the “Nicolas Dor” award for the best Belgian performance. Since 1998 further albums followed under his own name; He is also featured on albums by Chris Joris , Phil Abraham , Marc Moulin , Stéphane Collin, Stéphane Mercier, Charles Loos and the Brussels Jazz Orchestra .
