Famous Last Words is an American post-hardcore band that was formed in 2010 in Petoskey , Michigan and is currently under contract with inVogue Records .
history
The band was founded in 2010 in Petoskey , Michigan, as A Walking Memory . The group consists of singer JT Tollas, drummer Craig Simons, guitarist Tyler Mykleust and bassist Matthew Bell. Former musicians are bassist Jesse Maddy and lead guitarist Ethan Osborn.
Before the group assumed their current name, Famous Last Words , they released the EP You Could Have Made This Easier in 2010. This appeared on their own initiative. After the name change, two more EPs followed with In Your Face and 2012 with Pick Your Poison . The latter has already appeared on inVogue Records . The debut album Two-Faced Charade was released in 2013. A year later, the second studio album Council of the Dead was released . Both albums made it into the official US charts . After switching to Revival Recordings , the group released their third album The Incubus .
Since its inception, the band has toured with Hawthorne Heights , The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus , Palisades , Capture the Crown and Crown the Empire . However, each of these concert tours only led through North America .
style
Allmusic's James Christopher Monger describes the group's music as a mix of metalcore , post-rock and screamo . Michael Gonzales from the Examiner attributes the group on the debut album Two-Faced Charade a similarity in places to Asking Alexandria and Silverstein .
