From this point on, Barbora Kodetová takes on the role of the White Witch.

action

The evil magician Tarabas, the most powerful and at the same time cruelest of his guild, hears from his mother Xellesia that a king's child, not older than 10 years, could one day disempower him. Thereupon he sends his stone army to take all princes and princesses, from infants up to the tenth year, prisoner and to bring them into his dark realm, which no mortal has entered before.

The children of the two Fantaghiròs sisters are said to be stolen. But they can save themselves with their two babies on their sister's castle. A battle breaks out there that seems hopeless for the residents of the castle, since the warriors are invulnerable. But Fantaghirò realizes that you can turn it back to stone with water. She then sends her lover Romualdo to the river with two dolls as bait for the stone warriors.

Romualdo succeeds in making the warriors believe that the royal children have drowned and are therefore worthless. Unfortunately, like the enemy, he falls into the water and turns to stone. Fantaghirò is desperate when not even a kiss can bring him back to life. Blitz und Donner, the two former assistants of the black witch, offer her help. They collect the individual parts of the witch, who was destroyed by Fantaghirò, and (initially only) bring her head back to life. Fantaghirò learns from her that although she can save Romualdo with a kiss, she can only do this if she kisses the evil Tarabas, who is responsible for the whole misfortune. Although she doesn't know where his realm is, she sets out to find him.

In the meantime the soldiers of Tarabas were very successful in the other kingdoms and bring almost all the royal children to their master. Xellesia, mother of the cruel ruler, doesn't understand why he doesn't kill her. But Tarabas is only interested in which of the children will overthrow him and, above all, how. But the children are too afraid of him, and sweets don't make them more talkative either. He cannot understand why they yearn so much for their parents' love. Eventually he locks the children in a house made entirely of sweets on the surface of the earth. So that they don't eat their way through the house and escape, he conjures up a kind of grating in front of their mouths.

On their search for Tarabas, Fantaghirò follows his army, which has just attacked a castle. The royal couple has already been murdered, so all they can do is save the cheeky and stubborn king's daughter Smeralda. In order to defend herself against the overwhelming power of the warriors, she asks for help from lightning and thunder, which conjure up a shower of rain, which turns the soldiers back to stone. Fantaghirò is angry with Tarabas and his cruelty towards humans and challenges him. Tarabas hears her words and decides to go into the human world. He wants to know why this woman hates him so much.

In the meantime, Fantaghirò and Smeralda have set out on horseback to return to Fantaghirò's castle. They come across an eagle in the forest. In reality, it is Tarabas who tries to hypnotize the young fighter. But Smeralda scares him away with her sling. Injured, he flies away and falls unconscious to the ground in his human form. Fantaghirò finds the unconscious, not knowing who is lying in front of her. Tarabas changes his tactics and decides to lead them through the forest.

But later they take a rest because there are too many wolves around. Fantaghirò and Tarabas are talking to each other. He tells her that he is on the run from a woman who hates him and that he does not know the reason for her contempt. Fantaghirò tells him that she's chasing someone she hates from the bottom of her heart. Tarabas says that she is following him, but the princess says no, because she does not believe that someone who is evil has such kind eyes as he does. Tarabas is confused. Fantaghirò sees something good in him. She is the first person in his life to be nice to him. When Fantaghirò goes to sleep, Tarabas feels the need to kiss her. Xellesia, who has watched everything, sends her gnomes to prevent that. She is afraid for her son's power. But he cannot be dissuaded. Just at the moment when he wants to kiss her, he suddenly turns into a repulsive monster and runs away.

Finally transformed back, Tarabas wonders how that could have happened. His mother explains to him that this curse only works when he is in love. As soon as he feels love for a woman and kisses her, he turns into a beast and devours the beloved. Xellesia did this so that he could continue to be angry. Because nobody who loves can still be cruel. Tarabas is so desperate that he even cries for the first time in his life.

The next morning Fantaghirò and Smeralda are alone. The stranger has disappeared. On their way further through the forest, they meet the stone warriors again. They almost manage to steal Smeralda, but then Tarabas appears and saves her. He continues with her and tries to end Fantaghirò's plan to fight Tarabas. She remains stubborn and explains to him that she is only doing this for her great love Romualdo, who was turned to stone by the magician. Tarabas tells her that she will never see the evil ruler and eventually rides away.

When a storm comes up, Fantaghirò and Smeralda find shelter in an old wall. During the night, Tarabas' gnomes visit them. They ask Fantaghirò's help, because they are afraid of their evil master and especially his mother. They explain to her the way to the dark realm of her master. Thereupon she calls thunder and lightning to restore the black witch. They get the witch to support the small group in the fight against Tarabas by using her heart as a pledge.

Meanwhile, Xellesia is seriously concerned. She tells her son that his beloved is called Princess Fantaghirò and that her beloved Romualdo was petrified by Tarabas' fault. She also tries to urge him to get rid of Fantaghirò and the child. But Tarabas forbids himself strictly. Nevertheless, she calls her bats to have the two troublemakers brought in.

When the bats attack the community around Fantaghirò, they manage to kidnap Smeralda. Fantaghirò follows them immediately, accompanied by lightning, thunder and the black witch. You finally find the sugar house where the children are locked up in the black forest. When the guns are of no use, they begin to eat their way around the house.

Xellesia meanwhile interrogates Smeralda and sees in her the child that Tarabas is supposed to bring down. He has since withdrawn and tried to forget his love. His mother then tells him that his lover is already on her way to see him. Surprised that she found him, he wants to see Fantaghirò one last time.

The princess has since made it into the house and frees the children. Despite her unwillingness, she persuades the black witch to pull the bars away from the children and conjure them up a wagon. She commissions Donner und Blitz to bring the children to her castle. The black witch continues to accompany Fantaghirò, as she has dreamed of meeting the famous Tarabas for years. Indeed, Tarabas lets her go, but when Fantaghirò enters his kingdom, he locks the door on the black witch to talk to the princess alone.

First, Fantaghirò's weapons are taken and only one voice speaks to her. She is very angry about this, she wants to see the man she is talking to. When he finally stands in front of her, she can't believe it. It is the young traveler from the forest. Nevertheless, she asks him on his knees to bring Romualdo back to life, even if that demands her life. Tarabas wants her to forget her prince and even offers her immortality. When she says no, he makes a deal with her. He kisses her and thereby loosens Romualdo's petrification, but for this she has to become his bride and stay with him forever and ever. Fantaghirò accepts the offer.

Since he turns into a monster when she kisses him, Tarabas chains himself. The kiss is performed and appears in the form of a red spiral. Tarabas changes back and warns the black witch who, on Fantaghirò's order, is supposed to bring the kiss to Romualdo. The flame of the kiss grows weaker over time; when it finally turns white, the spell no longer works.

Now the wedding is celebrated. With Smeralda as her bridesmaid, Fantaghirò finally steps up to Tarabas' side to be married to him. Suddenly, Blitz appears and tells the princess that the black witch has cheated on her. She recovered her heart and did not return to the castle. At Fantaghirò's request, he lets her go to look for the witch. Tarabas uses his magic to help her on a quick journey so that she can return to him all the faster. When Fantaghirò has found the black witch, she uses a trick to trick her into giving her the flame.

Meanwhile, Xellesia is trying to get rid of Smeralda. She wants to throw them into a well that reaches the center of the earth. Every means would be right for her so that Tarabas does not lose the power she has given him. But Tarabas intervenes and saves Smeralda. As a punishment, he takes away his mother's magic powers. She is pushed into the well by the gnomes for all the agony she has caused them.

Arrived at the castle, Fantaghirò spreads the kiss of flame on Romualdo's lips. But it is already too late: the flame was already white. Suddenly Smeralda shows up and says that there might be another possibility. Tarabas is standing in front of the gate. Fantaghirò asks him for a new kiss, but he says it will no longer have any effect. Only a kiss from another woman would be a solution. But Tarabas only loves Fantaghirò, so this is completely impossible. Suddenly Fantaghirò got an idea. Tarabas could kiss Smeralda too. After some hesitation, he finally kisses her forehead and a new flame appears. Tarabas hands them over to Fantaghirò and absolves them of their promises. She gives him one last kiss and then rushes to Romualdo to redeem him.

Tarabas gives Smeralda another gift when she leaves. She has a wish that she uses to see her parents one last time.

In the end, Tarabas casts off all evil and now leads the life of a mortal. Thus the prophecy has been fulfilled. The innocence of a king's daughter has conquered evil.
