The Fasdhūtherē Atoll is located in the western island chain of the Maldives, directly between the North Maalhosmadulu Atoll and the South Maalhosmadulu Atoll .

The 22-kilometer-wide, wedge-shaped atoll is separated from the northern Maalhosmadulu Atoll by the four-kilometer-wide Moresby Channel (locally called Hani Kandu ); the southern Maalhosmadulu Atoll is less than two kilometers away.
Of the 11 islands in the atoll, only the main island of Kudarikilu in the southeast is permanently inhabited. In 2006, 388 locals lived there.

The Fasdhūtherē Atoll forms the Maldivian administrative atoll Maalhosmadulu Dhekunuburi , with the Thaana short name , together with the South Maalhosmadulu Atoll and the Goidhoo Atoll 50 km south ބ( Baa ).
