Fassmer FPB 34 is the shipyard name of a class of fast patrol boats from the Fr. Fassmer shipyard in Berne .

The class built two boats for the Schleswig-Holstein State Police Office , which are used by the Schleswig-Holstein Water Police . The boats are stationed in Husum and Büsum and are used in the North Sea off the Schleswig-Holstein coast. The home port of both boats is Kiel .

Technical data and equipment

The drive of the boats made by two MTU - Diesel engines of the type 16V 2000 M72, each with 1,440  kW power , which reduction gear on two fixed propeller effect. The maximum speed is given as 24  kn . The boats are equipped with a bow thruster .

Two generator sets (Hansa 620 DSRG marine with 110 kW output and Hansa 320 DSRG marine with 53 kW output) and an emergency generator are available for power generation.

The boats are equipped with a rigid inflatable boat . The dinghy can be put into the water or brought on board with the help of a crane.

The range of the boats is around 555 nautical miles at 15 kn  .

Sylt stationed in Husum was baptized on April 24, 2009 . Godmother was a police master. The boat replaced a predecessor boat of the same name that had been in service since 1988.

The Helgoland stationed in Büsum was christened on November 5, 2014 and then put into service. The sponsor was the Schleswig-Holstein Finance Minister Monika Heinold . The boat replaced a predecessor boat of the same name that had been in service since 1973. The cost of construction came to 7.4 million euros.
