Fatih Candan (born December 30, 1989 in Essen ) is a German-Turkish soccer player .

Career

Fatih Candan was born in Essen and played as a youth in Bottrop at VfR Bottrop-Ebel and moved to the gymnastics community Essen-West 1910 in 2008. There the young striker scored 23 goals in two years in the regional league and was the best player and most successful goalscorer in Essen City championship in indoor soccer attracts attention.

Then Rot-Weiß Oberhausen signed him in 2010 for their second team, which had been promoted to the Lower Rhine League. There he scored 14 goals in the first year and was the second top scorer after Marvin Ellmann . In the 2011/12 season he was therefore also in the squad of the first team in the 3rd division . After he had again distinguished himself as a successful goalscorer in the U-23, he was allowed to play the final minutes of the game against the second team of VfB Stuttgart with the professional team of Oberhausen for the first time on matchday 12 . In total, he came to six appearances in the 3rd division in 2011/12 , but had to accept relegation to the Regionalliga West with RWO .

In May 2012, his move to the NRW league champion and regional league promoted FC Viktoria Köln became known.

For the second half of the 2014/15 season , Candan moved to the Turkish Süper Lig for the North Anatolian representative Kardemir Karabükspor . With the club he was relegated to the second division at the end of the season .

In January 2016, after a year in Turkey, he returned to Viktoria Köln. In the 2016/17 season he became champions of the Regionalliga West with Viktoria , but they failed in the promotion games to the 3rd division.

For the 2017/18 season he moved to the Regionalliga Südwest for TSV Steinbach . On May 21, 2018, he won the Hessen Cup with TSV Steinbach and thus made it into the DFB Cup. In the 2-0 win against KSV Hessen Kassel , he scored the decisive 2-0.

For the 2019/20 season, Candan moved to the Regionalliga West for the second team of FC Schalke 04 .
