Fatumaquerec ( Fatumakerek , Fatumacerec , Fatu-Maquerec ) is an East Timorese suco in the Soibada administrative office ( Manatuto municipality ).

Before the territorial reform of 2015, Fatumaquerec had an area of ​​39.95 km². Now it is 39.30 km². The Suco is located in the southwest of the Soibada administrative office. To the north is the Suco Maun-Fahe , northeast of the Suco Manlala and southeast of the Suco Samoro . In the west, Fatumaquerec borders on the suco of the same name of the Laclubar administrative office . In the south lies the administrative office Fatuberlio, which belongs to the municipality of Manufahi, with its sucos Fatucahi and Clacuc . The Quiclezen river , which is part of the Clerec system, has its source in the border area between the two sucos Fatumaquerec .

The overland road from Laclubar to Uma Boco runs along the eastern border of the Sucos . The town of Soibada , the center of the administrative office, which extends beyond the Sucos Manlala, Leo-Hat and Fatumaquerec, lies on it . Fatumaquerec includes the districts of Uma Querec ( Umacuarec ), Sasahi and Hisuala ( Hisuata ).

The two Aldeias Lesuata and Sasahi are located in the Suco .

Residents

The Suco has 864 inhabitants (2015), of which 439 are men and 425 women. The population density is 22.0 inhabitants / km². There are 130 households in the Suco. More than 63% of the population name Idaté as their mother tongue. Over 34% speak Tetum Terik , over 2% Tetum Prasa .

In the 2004/2005 elections , Alcino Sarmento was elected Chefe de Suco. In the 2009 elections , João King Ling Conçeicão Y.

economy

There is a small gold deposit in Suco .
