Felchta is a district of the district town of Mühlhausen / Thuringia in the Unstrut-Hainich district .
geography
Felchta is located on the southern edge of the core city of Mühlhausen. Locally leading country road in 1016 over and connects the district with the city and the surrounding area. The district of Felchta is located in the Thuringian Basin not far from the Unstrut in an agricultural arable area. There is hardly any forest in the intensely used, undulating terrain. The climate is mild and there is little precipitation with soils mostly affected by groundwater.
history
It was first mentioned in a document on May 18, 876. For centuries it was part of the sphere of influence of the Free and Imperial City of Mühlhausen . In 1565 Felchta had a population of 45.
In 1802 Felchta fell together with Mühlhausen to the Kingdom of Prussia , from 1807 to 1813 to the Kingdom of Westphalia ( Canton Dorla ) created by Napoleon , and after the Congress of Vienna in 1816 it was assigned to the district of Mühlhausen in the Prussian province of Saxony .
On April 9, 1994, the town, which had 842 inhabitants at that time, was incorporated into the city of Mühlhausen / Thuringia.
