The canton Dorla was an administrative unit in the Heiligenstadt district of the Harz department in the Napoleonic Kingdom of Westphalia . The main place of the canton and seat of the justice of the peace was the place Oberdorla in today's Thuringian Unstrut-Hainich district . The canton consisted of the three places until then to ganerbschaft Treffurt related Bailiwick Dorla and three places of the former Free and Imperial City of Mulhouse . The canton mayor was Christoph Gottfried Hoffmann.
The following localities belonged to the canton:
- Oberdorla , Niederdorla , Langula (former Vogtei Dorla)
- Felchta and Weidensee (Gut), Höngeda (formerly part of the Free and Imperial City of Mühlhausen)
