The canton Ershausen was an administrative unit in the Heiligenstadt district of the Harz department in the Napoleonic Kingdom of Westphalia . The main town of the canton and seat of the justice of the peace was the town of Ershausen in what is now the Thuringian district of Eichsfeld . The canton consisted of 19 places in the Obereichsfeld . The canton mayor was Friedrich August Hartleben.
