The canton Dachrieden was an administrative unit in the Heiligenstadt district of the Harz department in the Napoleonic Kingdom of Westphalia . The main place of the canton and seat of the justice of the peace was the place Dachrieden in today's Thuringian Unstrut-Hainich district . The canton consisted of 14 places, which for centuries were in the area of influence of the former Free and Imperial City of Mühlhausen . Canton maire was Carl Christian von Knorr.
