The canton of Heiligenstadt was an administrative unit in the Heiligenstadt district of the Harz department in the Napoleonic Kingdom of Westphalia . The main town of the canton and seat of the Justice of the Peace was Heiligenstadt in what is now the Thuringian district of Eichsfeld . The canton consisted of a city and eight places in the Obereichsfeld . Aloys Monecke was the mayor of the canton.
