Glasehausen is a municipality in the Thuringian district of Eichsfeld , is still in the historic Eichsfeld , but already belongs to the Low German language area. Administratively, the place belongs to the administrative community Leinetal .
geography
Glasehausen is located about 7 kilometers north of Heiligenstadt in the upper Gartetal within the red sandstone plateau of the middle Eichsfeld directly on the Lower Saxony- Thuringia border. The location is framed by the Silberberg (approx. 315 m) in the north, the Gehlenberg (383 m) in the southeast and the Auberg (345 m) in the west. The Glasehausener Bach flows through the village and flows into the garden in a northerly direction .
Neighboring towns are the districts of the municipality of Gleichen Weißenborn in the west and Etzenborn in the northeast and the Eichsfeld town of Günterode in the south.
history
The first written mention of a Johannes de Glasehusen takes place around 1300. Glasehusen was temporarily deserted and was only rebuilt around 1550. The lords of Bültzingslöwen were court lords from the 16th to the 19th century. From 1802 the place was Prussian and then came briefly to the Kingdom of Westphalia . From 1815 the place was part of the Prussian province of Saxony . 1945 to 1949 the place was part of the Soviet occupation zone and from 1949 part of the GDR. From 1961 to 1990 until the turnaround and reunification , the place was a guarded exclusion zone . In 1993 the place was hit by a windpipe.

Until the end of 2007 the Catholic parish Glasehausen was a subsidiary parish of Günterode . However, since January 1, 2008, Glasehausen has been a subsidiary municipality of Siemerode .
