Armaments is a district of Schimberg in the Eichsfeld district in Thuringia .

Armor is about 10 kilometers south of Heiligenstadt in a valley between the hills of the upper Eichsfeld ( height Berg : m 520.8 and Hühnenberg: 452.4 m) in the Northeast, the Misseröder Kalkrücken ( Siebert Burg : 424.0 m) in the southeast and the Gobert ( Großer Knüll : approx. 450 m) in the west. The state roads 1003 and 2026 lead through the district. The corridor is docked and is mainly used for agriculture, the hills are also wooded.
history
The village was first mentioned in a document in 1318. In 2009, 260 people lived in the agricultural village.
Worth seeing
In the village center there are numerous half-timbered houses and a meadow, on the outskirts there is a refuge and a barbecue area. In the varied landscape, armaments is the starting point for numerous hiking destinations, including the Schlittstein , a dolomite bulge within the Eichenberg – Gotha – Saalfeld fault zone .
