With 2,971 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2004), Feldkirchen is the second largest district in the Feldkirchen-Westerham community .

The church village lies at an altitude of 547.2  m above sea level. NN and is in the west of the municipality. The Feldkirchener Bach flows through Feldkirchen and flows into the Mangfall . Feldkirchen is the center of the community, recognizable by the village square, the town hall and the shops in the center.

history

Feldkirchen was first mentioned in a document in 795. In 1215 Otto von Freising consecrated a Romanesque church. From 1619 to 1821 Feldkirchen was a monastery parish of the Augustinian canons of Weyarn .

Attractions

  • Parish Church of St. Laurentius: consecrated in 1906. The parsonage next to the church dates back to 1642. The parish church imitates the Munich Michaels Church .
