Kleinhöhenrain

Kleinhöhenrain is a church village in Upper Bavaria and a part of the municipality of Feldkirchen-Westerham in the Rosenheim district . It is located in the east of the municipality, southeast of Großhöhenrain , at an altitude of 612  m above sea level. NN and had 250 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2004).

Together with Großhöhenrain, Kleinhöhenrain forms the Höhenrain municipality . Until 1875 the community was still called Großhöhenrain . Höhenrain was an independent municipality until 1978, which became part of the Feldkirchen-Westerham municipality as part of a regional reform.

A spring south of Kleinhöhenrain feeds the Tiefenbach , which flows into the Moosbach , which then flows into the Glonn .

The Church of St. Bartholomew dates from around 1200 and is today a branch church of the parish church of St. Michael in Großhöhenrain. The Angelus is rung every day, electronically controlled by a radio clock .
