Staudach (Feldkirchen-Westerham)

Staudach is a part of the municipality Feldkirchen-Westerham in the district of Rosenheim . The wasteland is northeast of Feldkirchen at an altitude of 603  m above sea level. NN and has 8 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2004).

There is a small castle in the roof that was built in 1901 by Rittmeister Alfred Pabst from Selb based on plans by Eugen Drollinger . Through his father Hans Pabst, Pabst was part owner of the Hutschenreuther porcelain factory in which he worked from 1894 to 1904.

The castle was used by his family as a summer and hunting seat. A smaller castle is said to have already stood on the site of today's castle. It is a villa-like two-storey plastered building with hip, crooked, saddle, dome and conical roofs, towers, oriels, mid-house, ornamental framework, segmented arch and thermal bath windows. The design is historicizing . The gatehouse with a two-storey gable roof with a crooked hips on one side, segmented arched windows and ornamental framework and the enclosure with corner pillars and recessed wooden arched doors date from the same time. The driveway with linden trees dates from the 19th century.
