Felix Meinhardt

Felix Meinhardt (* 1983 in Munich ) is a German filmmaker, author and speaker, who through his camera work a. a. for the ZDF ( Terra X ) became known.

life and work

Meinhardt trained as a photographer for automobile advertising and then trained at the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy in Ludwigsburg . There he initially defined his style as a specialist in lighting design and the use of digital color correction . He produced documentaries and contributions for television, with Sebastian Scherrer a . a. for the ZDF series “Terra Xpress”, the film “Supervulkan” and shot the “Germany Saga” by Terra X. In 2012 and 2013 he traveled around the globe for his documentary “First Man - on the trail of the first person” the search for the origin of modern man. He is a member of the jury and a. for the Indian Film Festival 2014 and NaturVision Film Festival 2015. In 2017 he traveled across Africa with the adventure travel organizer “Overcross Adventure & Travel” to record material for their social media campaign. Since 2017 he has been focusing increasingly on the production of short films as a director and cameraman. His short film "Jewelry Junky" has been on an international festival tour since 2018. With "The Provider" (2018) Meinhardt had his first experience with a Hollywood project.

In cooperation with numerous companies (including the Fraunhofer Institute , Bertelsmann Foundation , Bobby Car , DM ), he has made image films in recent years.

With his first publication as an author, in "Mut zur Heldenreise" (2019) he gives insights into his previous creative history in the film industry.

In 2019 he will also be the organizer of the film seminar series "Filmmaking Masterclass" for the first time. This should enable film enthusiasts of all ages to come into contact with the art of film-making and to gain their first practical experience. As a speaker and management consultant, he is mainly on the move on topics such as "visibility" and "advertising film".

With "Das Tal in Ketten", his first major feature film is planned for 2019 (funded by MFG Filmförderung Baden-Württemberg ).

Meinhardt lives and works in Munich.
