Remote controlled (Original Title: Zapped ) is an American television film by Peter DeLuise from the year 2014 which is loosely based on the novel not guys who bark, bite by Leslie Margolis based. In the Disney Channel Original Movie , Zendaya takes on the lead role as Zoey Stevens , who uses a dog app to control the boys around her. The feature film premiered on June 27, 2014 on the US Disney Channel .

16-year-old Zoey Stevens is a gifted dancer and an excellent student who only brings home good grades. Together with her best friend Rachel Todds, she goes to Westlake High School and has to endure the harassment of the snobbish and scheming Taylor Dean, who leads the rival dance group as captain. She was dating Jackson Kale for a while and believes they are still a couple and doesn't want to admit that their relationship is over. When Taylor realizes Jackson has turned to Zoey, her hatred is even greater.
Zoey could be the happiest person in the world if it weren't for the fact that her mother, Jeannie, is getting married to Ted Thompson and his three sons, Adam, Ben and Zach. Thus, Zoey's life changes completely, because now she has to come to terms with her step-siblings. Above all, Adam, the star of the basketball team, gets on her nerves.
