The telecommunications tower Deilingen is a basic network transmitter of the German radio tower , which was built in 1961.

The 65 meter high transmission tower is located on the 980 meter high mountain Schlichte in the middle of the region of 10 thousand , the highest part of the Swabian Alb , southeast of the village of Deilingen and 10 km east of Rottweil .

As the basic network transmitter in Rottweil , the transmission tower used to supply large parts of the Swabian Alb with the second and third television programs. In the course of the analogue switch-off , the analogue television programs were switched off on November 27, 2007, the supply of the region with digital television in DVB-T standard has since been ensured by the Raichberg broadcaster . After the analogue television programs were switched off, the tower was dismantled and the height of the tower was reduced from 98 meters to 65 meters.

The directional radio systems were taken over by the nearby Plettenberg telecommunications tower , built in 1980 . Today the transmission tower is only used for mobile communications and BOS radio.
