Festival Organ PLUS
The Festival Orgel PLUS is a music festival that has been running since its founding in 1989 under the artistic direction of the initiator Dr. Gerd-Heinz Stevens is standing. The organizer is the city of Bottrop . The festival is carried out under the patronage of the Bishop of Essen in the churches and at other concert venues in Bottrop. The annual festival in January combines the organ with other instruments and various art forms such as film, dance or the visual arts. As part of the concerts, numerous works and a. premiered by Jürg Baur , Sir Malcolm Arnold , and Harald Genzmer . In addition, rarely performed works for organ and orchestra and oratorio works are brought to new life as part of Orgel PLUS. In addition to the concerts, there are excursions , master classes , exhibitions and events for children.
