history

The names of the Feuerturm and Toskabank peaks did not arise until the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century. In the 16th century and later, the ridge was only known as the Stahlberg . After 1650, the name of the Stahlberg gradually passed on to the settlement founded by Bohemian exiles , which developed on the north-east upstream elevation south of the place Bärenstein. The field name Stahlberg last appeared in 1824. Afterwards it was replaced by the names Steinberg / Feuerturm for the northern part and Toskabank for the southern part.

The northern and lower elevation of the Stahlberg received the name Steinberg or the double name Steinberg or fire tower in the 19th century and at the beginning of the 20th century . In later times up to the present day, only the name fire tower is used for the summit , the name Steinberg has been forgotten.
