Yuki Kajiura
Yuki Kajiura ( Japanese 梶 浦 由 記 Kajiura Yuki ; born August 6, 1965 in Tokyo Prefecture , Japan ) is a Japanese composer .
Life
In July 1992, she made her debut with the newly formed See-Saw group . In this group she not only played the piano, but also sang. Despite initial success with this duo , she only achieved her breakthrough with the soundtracks of the anime noir and .hack // Sign . She also produced the soundtracks for Tsubasa Chronicle , Pandora Hearts , Sword Art Online , Madlax , Mai-HiME , Puella Magi Madoka Magica , Fate / Zero and the PS2 RPG trilogy Xenosaga .
As part of her FictionJunction project, she repeatedly teamed up with individual singers, where she was usually seen playing the piano and occasionally as a background singer in live performances. The first name of the singer was added to the name FictionJunction in these groups. The most successful of these duos was FictionJunction YUUKA , which she formed in 2003 with Yūka Nanri . On April 29, 2009 the single Parallel Hearts with Kaori Oda, Keiko Kubota, Wakana Ōtaki and Yuriko Kaida as singers was released under the name FictionJunction - without any additional attachment - which served as the opening for the anime series Pandora Hearts .
In 2007 she founded the band Kalafina with Keiko Kubota, Wakana Ōtaki, Hikaru Masai and Maya Toyoshima .
On August 8, 2003, her first solo album, Fiction , was released, which was also released in the USA and has also been available in Germany since August 2004 . The second album, entitled Fiction II , was released on March 30, 2011 in Japan.
Their music sounds mystical to trance-like and the melody is often carried by a violin. The texts are mainly English , Japanese , rarely Latin or Yukaric ( kajiurago ), a language that she invented herself and that consists of a free sequence of syllables.
