Filatov & Karas is a Russian DJ - and music producer - duo consisting of Filatov (born Дмитрий Филатов, Dmitry Filatov ) and DJ Karas (* 19th May 1979 in Moscow , civic Алексей Осокин, Alexei Ossokin ). They became known for their remix of Imany's single Don't Be So Shy in 2016, which reached top positions in the charts in Europe.
Career
Filatov started his music career in 1998 and has been a DJ since 2005. DJ Karas was part of several music projects and worked as a music producer and remixer under various pseudonyms .
In 2012 both started their collaboration under Filatov & Karas . At first they mainly published remixes of songs by national and international artists. First in 2015 they remixed the song The Good, the Bad & the Crazy of Imany . Because it was well received, a remix of their song Don't Be So Shy was created. This was first successful on the radio in Eastern Europe at the end of 2015 and became a hit across Europe in early 2016. First in Poland, then in Germany, Austria and France, the song reached number one in the charts.
The duo is particularly successful in Poland, with two more singles reaching the top of the Polish airplay charts in 2016 and 2017 .
