The branch church Alt St. Josef is elevated in the north of Bodensdorf in the municipality of Steindorf am Ossiacher See in the Feldkirchen district in Carinthia in Austria . The church, first mentioned between 1656 and 1667, was the parish church of Bodensdorf until the new church was built in 1929.

The tower, built in 1738/39 on the southern half of the west facade, has round-arched sound openings and an onion helmet . There is a large arched window in the west facade. The nave has three bays and a barrel vault with stitch caps and belt arches over pilasters . The wooden west gallery stands on turned columns. A round arched triumphal arch connects the nave with the much lower, Gothic choir. The choir consists of a groin vaulted yoke and a three-quarter end with stitch caps. The northern sacristy is barrel vaulted, the stab caps are emphasized by pearl rods .

Facility

The high altar from the second half of the 17th century consists of a columned aedicula over a small base and a blasted segmented gable with a small aedicula as an attachment. The altar is adorned with cartilage and fruit hangings on the side ears. On the main floor there is a group of figures of the Holy Family , on the top there is a relief of God the Father . The 18th century tabernacle was changed in the 19th century.

The right side altar with column architecture, tendrils and fruit hangings was created around 1700. The modern central picture shows the Madonna, the top picture shows St. Florian . A cartouche with the coat of arms of an Ossiach abbot is attached to the altar.
