Filip Taleski ( Macedonian Филип Талески , born March 28, 1996 in Prilep ) is a Macedonian handball player who plays for the German Bundesliga club HBW Balingen-Weilstetten .
Career
The 2.02 m tall and 95 kg heavy left back player started playing handball in the handball school of the RK Metalurg Skopje . Via the youth teams, he joined the junior team in 2013, which plays in the first Macedonian league. In the 2013/14 season he qualified for the championship round, where he also met the professional team. In the end, he finished sixth. Taleski made his international debut on April 27, 2014 in the EHF Champions League quarter-final second leg at THW Kiel . He scored three goals in the Sparkassen-Arena . For the 2014/15 season he signed his first professional contract with Metalurg.
After signing a contract with the German Bundesliga club Rhein-Neckar Löwen in November 2016, which was originally valid from the 2018/19 season , the move was brought forward so that it already appears for the Löwen in the second half of the 2016/17 season. With the Rhein-Neckar Löwen he won the German championship and the DHB Supercup in 2017 . In 2018, Taleski won the DHB Cup and again the DHB Supercup with the Rhein-Neckar Löwen . In August 2019, he switched to league competitor HBW Balingen-Weilstetten .
With the Macedonian junior national team, Taleski qualified for the U-20 European men's handball championship in 2014 , in qualifying he scored 27 goals in three games. Filip Taleski made his debut in the Macedonian senior team on June 7, 2014 in the play-off first leg of the 2015 World Cup against Greece . After he failed to score in Athens , he threw his first two goals in the national team dress in the second leg. He has played a total of seven international matches so far , in which he scored eight goals.
