Romas Kirveliavičius (* 5. March 1988 in Druskininkai ) is from Lithuania originating handball player . He has been an Austrian citizen since June 2014 .

Career

The native Lithuanian began his active professional career at HC Vilnius , with whom he made his international debut in the 2007/2008 season in the EHF Cup . During this season he was also voted the league's “Most Valuable Player”. In the following season he moved to Vienna to the Aon Fivers Margareten , with whom he also won the ÖHB Cup at the first attempt . After the 2011 championship , Kirveliavičius was selected by a jury of association, club and press representatives as the handball player of the 2010/11 season. In the following years he won the ÖHB Cup again with the Margaretners in 2012 and 2013 . In October 2014, the 2.00 meter tall backcourt player surprisingly moved to SG BBM Bietigheim in the handball Bundesliga . From summer 2015 he was under contract with HSC 2000 Coburg . For the 2018/19 season he moved to the German second division club HBW Balingen-Weilstetten .
