Fabian Posch (born January 5, 1988 in Salzburg ) is an Austrian handball player .
Career
The 1.98 meter tall and 110 kilogram heavy circle player initially played at UHC Salzburg . From 2006 to 2011 Posch was under contract with A1 Bregenz , with the Vorarlberg team he was champion four times. In the 2008/09 season he was also voted "Newcomer of the Year" by the league. After the 2010/11 season, which was his highest scoring season until then, he moved to ULZ Schwaz . In 2013 he was signed by the HLA promoted SC Ferlach . After failing to stay up with the Carinthians despite a career high of 137 goals, he moved to SG Handball West Vienna in 2014 . After two years in Vienna, he moved to UHK Krems after the 2015/2016 season . In 2019, the Kreisläufer secured the ÖHB Cup .
With Bregenz he played in the EHF Champions League (2007, 2008, 2009, 2010) and the EHF Cup (2010). He gained further international experience in 2010/11 with the ULZ Schwaz in the European Cup Winners' Cup .
Posch reached the round of 16 with the Austrian national team at the 2015 World Handball Championship in Qatar , scoring 14 goals in six games. In total, he scored 158 goals in 101 international matches for the national team .
