Mare Hojc (* 5. January 1982 in Ljubljana ) is a from Yugoslavia originating handball player of Slovenian nationality, since July 2009, the nationality of Austria has.

Career

The 1.85 meter tall and 93 kilogram heavy backcourt player was under contract with the German club HBW Balingen-Weilstetten between 2009 and 2011 . Before that he played in Ribnica (Slovenia) until 2003, from 2003 to 2005 with the RK Gold Club (Slovenia), from 2005 to 2006 again in Ribnica, from 2006 to 2007 with BM Cangas (Spain) and from 2007 to 2009 with A1 Bregenz .

In the 2008-2009 season he was awarded as the MVP (best player) of the 1st Austrian handball league HLA. With Bregenz he played in the EHF Champions League (2008, 2009).

For the Austrian national team , he scored ten goals in nine international matches. At the European Championships 2010 he reached the main round.
