Lukas Hutecek (born July 2, 2000 ) is an Austrian handball player .

Career

Hutecek began to play handball at UHC Eggenburg when he was young . As of the 2015/16 season, the right-hander was part of the U20 and combat team with a support license for the UHC Hollabrunn . In 2016/17 the back player moved to the handball club Fivers Margareten . While Hutecek only played in the second team in his first season with the Viennese, he played more in the Handball League Austria in 2017/18 . In the first year in the top division he was able to secure the Austrian championship title with the team. For the 2019/20 season he was named "Handball Player of the Year".

Hutecek played his first international match for the Austrian national team on January 6, 2020 .

Others

Hutecek visits the BG Maroltingergasse Vienna and was able to secure the school world championship title in 2017/18 with the school team.

His brother Sebastian also plays handball and is currently active for the HSG Bärnbach / Köflach .
