Sebastian Frimmel (born December 18, 1995 in Perchtoldsdorf ) is an Austrian handball player .

Career

Sebastian Frimmel, born in Perchtoldsdorf south of Vienna , began his active professional career in 2013 at SG Handball West Vienna . Before that, he played in various youth leagues for Union West Vienna and took part in the U20 championship for SG Handball West Vienna, which accompanies the Handball League Austria (HLA).
In the course of his time at the Bad Vöslau high school , which runs a handball class, Frimmel took part in the school world championship and took third place there. In 2014/15 Frimmel was named HLA “Newcomer of the Year”.

In addition, the 1.88-meter-tall outside player is part of the youth national team of the Austrian Handball Federation , with which he reached sixth place at the European Youth Championships in 2012 and 2014.

In 2017, Frimmel signed a contract with the Kadetten Schaffhausen, valid from the 2018/19 season . With Schaffhausen he won the Swiss championship in 2019. For the Austrian national team , Frimmel has played 53 times and scored 123 goals.
