Filiz Penzkofer

Filiz Penzkofer (* 1985 in Munich ) is a German- Turkish author , journalist and theater pedagogue . In the Bavarian region in particular, she is known for a regular radio glossary in which she presents Turkish dishes with a history .

Life

Filiz Penzkofer studied German , journalism and Turkish studies in Bamberg and Ankara . Already during her studies she successfully took part in university literature competitions.

In 2011 Penzkofer was the winner of the on3 reading series with her self-written story Das Taxi des Böse . In this context also appearances on television. Penzkofer now writes regularly for Bayerischer Rundfunk . With her humorous, almost five-minute reflections on Turkish and German food, which are rather short stories about German-Turkish sensitivities, she can also be heard in the program Kurz vor 12 on Bayern 2 .

In 2012 she published one of “Eight Tandem Stories” in the anthology Stirb & Werde . The story “The Butterfly Collector”, written together with Mia Pittroff , was selected by Daniela Hoffmann for a reading at the BambergLiest literature festival in the same year . In 2013, the author also won the first round of the BambergLiest short story competition of the same name with a beer mat story.

In 2012 Penzkofer was a member of the board of the registered association NJB Young Journalists in Bavaria, which has existed since 1984.

In the theater sector, she is a member of the ensemble of the children's and youth theater Chapeau Claque and also works on scripts.
