The Filmball Vienna is an annual event in Vienna . During the event, films and filmmakers will be awarded the Vienna Film Prize.

The Filmball Vienna was launched in 2010 by Edi Finger junior . The Filmball Vienna has been organized by the German entrepreneur Manfred Schoedsack since 2015 . The Austrian and German child protection associations are supported with the proceeds of the ball. The event takes place in the Vienna City Hall on Friedrich-Schmidt-Platz, usually in March or April of each year.
