Fire in Fairyland is a rock band from Celle , Lower Saxony, founded in 2009 .
history
Fire in Fairyland was founded in Celle in 2009 and consists of the singer Anna Peschke, the guitarists Hannes Huke and Torben Boyen (he is also a background singer ), the bassist Pasco Karamanlis, and the drummer Florian Knigge.
The group now gives concerts all over Northern Germany , played as the opening act for 4Lyn and was also seen at the Südwinsen Festival in 2010. The debut album Lit was released in 2010 and was produced and distributed in-house. It received a greater response in German-language online media. The album received reviews from Metal.de , Burn Your Ears and Metal Impressions, among others . On October 30, 2012, a short report about the group was published by RTL Regional .
The label Monster Artists became aware of the group and signed them. On January 11, 2013, For a Glimmer of Limelight, the second album was released. It received criticism from Whiskey-soda.de , Vampster and Powermetal.de , among others . Between February and July 2013 the group toured Germany to promote their album. Concerts were held in Prague ( Czech Republic ), Berlin , Braunschweig and Hamburg , among others .
In February 2014, the group brought a split - EP -band hardcore with the Munich Gravity Lost out the Balance Your Effort means and includes two pieces of both groups.
style
The group plays pop-punk , whose sound is also influenced by hardcore and metalcore . In addition to Paramore , the group also mentions groups like A Day to Remember , Tonight Alive and Mayday Parade as musical influences. The band name "Fire in Fairyland" can be traced back to the two singers. Accordingly, the name stands for the contrast between Torben Boyens shouts ("Fire") and the clear vocals of Anna Peschke ("Fairy"). Music and texts are written and composed by the musicians themselves.
