Almoloya de Juárez is a municipality in the Mexican state of México and part of the Zona Metropolitana del Valle de Toluca , the metropolitan area around Toluca de Lerdo . The seat of the municipality is Villa de Almoloya de Juárez , the largest places in the municipality, however, San Francisco Tlalcilalcalpan and Santiaguito Tlalcilalcalli . The community had 147,653 inhabitants in 2010, its area is 482.3 km² .

Almoloya de Juárez is located in the western part of the state of Mexico, 15 km northwest of Toluca de Lerdo .

The municipality of Almoloya de Juárez borders on the municipalities of San Felipe del Progreso , Ixtlahuaca , Temoaya , Toluca , Zinacantepec , Amanalco and Villa Victoria .
