Zumpahuacán is a municipality in the Mexican state of México . The municipality had 16,149 inhabitants in 2010, its area is 201.5 km² .
The administrative seat and largest of the 30 towns in the municipality is Zumpahuacán of the same name . Other larger towns are San Gaspar and San Pablo Tejalpa .
geography
Zumpahuacán is located in the south of the state of México. The highest peak in the municipality is the 2800 m high Totsquilla . About 60% of the community area is forested.
The municipality of Zumpahuacán borders on the municipalities of Malinalco , Ixtapan de la Sal , Villa Guerrero , Tenancingo and Tonatico, as well as the municipalities of Coatlán del Río and Pilcaya in the state of Guerrero .
