Tejupilco is a municipality in the Mexican state of México . The community had 71,077 inhabitants in 2010, its area is 671.3 km² . The administrative seat of the municipality is the city of Tejupilco de Hidalgo .

Tejupilco is located in the southwest of the state of México at an altitude of about 1300  m .

The municipality of Tejupilco borders the municipalities Luvianos , Zacazonapan , San Simón de Guerrero , Texcaltitlán , Sultepec and Amatepec as well as the state of Guerrero .
