Huixquilucan is a municipality in the Mexican state of México . It belongs to the Zona Metropolitana del Valle de México , the metropolitan region around Mexico City . The seat of the municipality is Huixquilucan de Degollado .

The community had 242,167 inhabitants in 2010, its area is 140.9  km² .

The municipality of Huixquilucan is located in the western part of the state of México at an altitude between 2500 and 3500 m. It borders the Municipios Naucalpan de Juárez , Lerma and Ocoyoacac and the Federal District of Mexico City .
