Atlautla is a municipality in the Mexican state of México . It belongs to the Zona Metropolitana del Valle de México , the metropolitan region around Mexico City . The seat of the municipality and largest place of the municipality is Atlautla de Victoria , the next largest places are San Juan Tehuixtitlán , San Juan Tepecoculco and San Andrés Tlalamac . The community had 27,663 inhabitants in 2010, its area is 162.5 km² .

Atlautla is located in the southeast of the state of México, the capital Atlautla de Victoria is about 70 km southeast of Mexico City.

The municipality borders on the municipalities Amecameca , Ecatzingo and Ozumba as well as on the neighboring states of Morelos and Puebla .
