Almoloya de Alquisiras is a municipality in the Mexican state of México . The seat of the municipality and its largest town is Almoloya de Alquisiras of the same name , the next largest town in the municipality is San Andrés Tepetitlán . The community had 14,856 inhabitants in 2010, its area is 183.2 km² .

Almoloya de Alquisiras is located in the southwest of the state of México, about 50 km southwest of Toluca de Lerdo .

The municipality borders on the Municipios Coatepec Harinas , Texcaltitlán , Zacualpan and Sultepec .
