Firehiwot Dado (born January 9, 1984 ) is an Ethiopian marathon runner .

In 2008 she won the Course Féminine de Casablanca and came second in the Košice Marathon . The following year she won the Rome marathon in 2:27:08 h, was fourth in the Frankfurt marathon in 2:29:20 and won the Boulogne-Billancourt half marathon .

In 2010 she finished fifth in the Mumbai Marathon , defended her title in Rome and won the 25km River Bank Run and the Florence Marathon .

In 2011, after another victory in Rome, she triumphed at the New York City Marathon .

In 2012 she set a course record in the New York City Half Marathon .
