Fischersdorf is a part of the municipality of Kaulsdorf in the Saalfeld-Rudolstadt district in Thuringia .
Geography and geology
Fischersdorf is connected to the federal highway 85 passing by . The village is located on the right bank of the after Saalfeld flowing Saale . On the right and left the slopes and hills as well as the mountains are covered with forest. Between this hilly land, larger plateaus lying on floors are used for agriculture. The southeast Thuringian slate mountains are interrupted and partially replaced by floodplain sites.
history
250 inhabitants are at home in the village first mentioned on March 21, 1400. In the past, silver and cobalt were mined in the town . Later alum and slate were extracted . The church , built in 1835, was built on the foundations of a chapel . The place was until 1918 in the Leutenberg area of the sovereignty of the Principality of Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt .
Agriculture has played a role in the town up to the present day.
