The Fischingerbach is a 5.5 km (with Haslibach and Silstenbach 7.2 km) long brook in the Swiss canton of Aargau . It is a left tributary of the Rhine and drains the Fischingertal in the western part of the Fricktal region . The towns of Schupfart , Obermumpf and Mumpf are located along the course of its stream .

The stream is created by the confluence of the Haslibach and Moosbächli source streams at around 446  m above sea level. M. in Schupfart . It flows in a north-westerly direction and flows through the village of Obermumpf. In Mumpf, after the Enge in the Bachtale, the Fischingerbach first crosses Obermumpferstrasse and then the A3 and Hauptstrasse 3 , which shares a route with Hauptstrasse 7 here . Immediately afterwards the stream flows out at a height of 281  m above sea level. M. in the Upper Rhine.

The stream (and the valley) got its name in memory of the Mumpfer citizen Johann Baptist Ignaz Fischinger (1768–1844), district administrator in the newly formed Rheinfelden district .

The Talbach was feared by its floods . The Schweizererbote of June 20, 1816 (pages 194 and 195) and the Lemberger Zeitung of July 29, 1816 report on this.

The chronicler and editor Franz August Stocker also describes a flood of the Fischingerbach in his story Die Nun von Säckingen .
