The Flöttenbach is an approximately 9 km long tributary of the Eimbeckhäuser Bach in the Hanover region and in the Hameln-Pyrmont district in Lower Saxony .

The stream has its source on the western slope of the Deister, east of Eimbeckhausen , a district of Bad Münder am Deister , and north of Springe ( Hanover region ). From there it flows in a westerly direction north past the Köllnischfeld forestry house , through the Schmeergrund, north past the Hemschehausen forestry house and to Eimbeckhausen in the Deister-Süntel valley , which is surrounded by the mountain ranges of the Deister in the east and the Süntel in the west. Numerous other streams flow to it on the way.

In the local area of ​​Eimbeckhausen the Flöttenbach sometimes runs parallel to the L 401 state road . It flows into the Eimbeckhäuser Bach at the intersection of Hauptstrasse and Nordfeldstrasse. This crosses under the B 442 and flows north of the train station into the Rodenberger Aue .
