Florent Perrier (born June 26, 1973 ) is a former French ski mountaineer who is currently active as President of the Athletes' Commission in the management committee for competitive ski mountaineering of the Union Internationale des Associations d'Alpinisme (UIAA).

Career

Perrier was world champion in 2004 and he also took first place in the team with Patrick Blanc in the relay and in the combined classification.
In 2005 he took first place in the World Cup in Salt Lake City and in the team with Grégory Gachet at the European Championship in Andorra in the team with Gachet first place and second place in the individual and vertical race as well as fourth place in the relay with Bertrand Blanc , Grégory Gachet and Tony Sbalbi . In 2006, he placed second in the team with Gachet at the world championship and won the race at the Swiss championship in the vertical race, followed by his compatriot Tony Sbalbi and the Swiss Alexander Hug , who was the first Swiss to receive the official Swiss championship title at the event .

In 2007 he achieved first places at the European championship in the vertical race, in the individual and in the team competition, also with gachet. As a result, he also achieved first place in the combined ranking. In the individual, he reached fourth place in the 2007 World Cup.

At the World Ski Mountaineering Championships in 2008 he was world champion in the team classification in ski mountaineering, in the individual as well as in the vertical race and won second place over the long distance. He took first place in the World Cup combined ranking. He also took second place in the 2008 Patrouille des Glaciers team with Gachet and Patrick Blanc. In 2008 he won the bronze medal at the World Cup ski mountaineering in Val d'Aran .
