Florian Hirsch (dramaturge)

Florian Hirsch (born 1979 in Berlin ) is a German dramaturge who has been a member of the Vienna Burgtheater ensemble since 2011 .

Hirsch studied modern German literature , English and American studies . He also worked as a translator as well as in the free theater scene in Berlin and at the Maxim-Gorki-Theater there . Since the 2011–12 season he has been a permanent dramaturge at the Vienna Burgtheater. His most important works at this house include Michael Schachermaier's staging of Raimunds Alpenkönig und Menschenfeind (2012) and Georg Schmiedleitner's interpretation of Karl Kraus ' Last Days of Mankind as a co-production of the castle with the Salzburg Festival (2014). Together with director Antú Romero Nunes , he also created a stage version of Isabel Allende's novel Das Geisterhaus , which premiered in January 2014 in the Akademietheater , the second house of the castle.

In November 2019 his piece celebrates Schiller. Riot and outrage after six dramas by Friedrich Schiller ( Cabal and Love , Maria Stuart , Wilhelm Tell , Don Karlos , The Fiesco Conspiracy to Genoa and The Robbers ) at the Linz Theater Phönix with Raphaela Möst in the title role.
