Florindo Pereira

Florindo Pereira is an East Timorese politician. He is a member of the Partido Democrático (PD).

Career

Pereira was a senior civil servant before becoming dean of the Civil Service Academy . On July 15, 2001, he replaced Ana Pessoa Pinto , Minister of Internal Administration, in her post in the First Interim Government of East Timor under the United Nations , as she wanted to run for the constituent assembly elections on August 30 . With the arrival of the second interim government on September 20, Pereira passed the ministerial post on to Antoninho Bianco .

Pereira became National Project Director of the Human Resources Management project of the United Nations Development Program and Director of the National Institute for Public Administration (INAP) he held the latter position until August 8, 2007, when he was reappointed to the government, this time as State Secretary for Administrative Reform. His tenure as State Secretary ended on August 8, 2012.

Currently (as of 2016) Pereira is involved in the structural consolidation of the party as a member of the Committee for Strategic Studies and Planning (KEEP) of the Partido Democrático.
