The Dushanbe International Airport ( english Dushanbe International Airport ) is the largest of four international airports in the Central Asian state of Tajikistan . It is on the outskirts of the capital Dushanbe . Together with the country's flag carrier , Tajik Air , the airport is part of the Aviation Company of Tajikistan OSHC. The airport opened in November 1929.
New building
In addition to the existing terminals, the new airport has been under construction since mid-2010 as part of a French development cooperation project.
Airlines and connections
The airport is served internationally, nationally and regionally by the two Tajik airlines Somon Air and Tajik Air. UTAir , Atlant-Soyuz Airlines , Rossiya and S7 Airlines also flies to various Russian cities, Avia Traffic Company and the airline Kyrgyzstan to Bishkek , China Southern Airlines to Urumqi , Kam Air to Kabul , Iran Aseman Airlines to Iran , SCAT to Almaty , Tatarstan Airlines to Kazan and Turkish Airlines to Istanbul .
