aims
From February 2005, J-Air , a subsidiary of Japan Airlines , served several destinations in Japan ( Obihiro (Hokkaido) , Yamagata , Akita , Matsuyama , Nagasaki , Kitakyushu ), but withdrew completely from Nagoya Airport by March 2011 because the Parent company JAL was in financial difficulties.
Today, Fuji Dream Airlines (FDA) is the only airline at Nagoya Airport that opened its first route to Fukuoka in October 2010 . Since then, the FDA has expanded the route network, and some routes are offered in code sharing with JAL.
Transport links
The airport can be reached by scheduled buses from Meitetsu Nishiharu Station (in Kitanagoya ) or from JR Kachigawa Station (in Kasugai ). There is also a direct bus service from Nagoya Station .
There had been plans for many years to connect the airport to the Meitetsu Railway Network (Komaki Line) with a short new line to Meitetsu Ajiyoshi Station (in Kasugai ), but this was abandoned after Centrair opened in 2005.
